Keep More of Your Own Money

Do-it-yourself is a great way to save money. This is today's only post because I fixed my leaky kitchen faucet. Most repairs are not too difficult. For home repairs, I highly recommend Time Life's Big Book of Easy Home Fix-Ups. It is what I referred to today to fix the faucet. YouTube is also a great resource for small jobs. I spent $1.47 at the hardware store to fix it (and that includes picking up a spare part as well) - all I needed was a new gasket. Rest assured, though, that I would have paid a plumber at least $50 just to show up on my doorstep. That's like getting 97% off!
